The first annual Midwest Campus Clash and Gaming Expo will take place at Columbia College on Saturday, April 8, 2017 beginning at 10 a.m., bringing the top collegiate eSports teams in the Midwest together to compete for a $25,000 prize pool.
In addition to the live tournament viewing space, the Expo area will include a range of gaming experiences for all ages, plus food trucks and an exhibitor space for you to sample the latest gaming gear.
After a month-long League of Legends elimination tournament, eight of the Midwest’s best collegiate eSports teams will emerge to battle live at Columbia College for the $25,000 Midwest Campus Clash prize pool.
Games will start at 10 a.m. and will be called by professional Shoutcasters live in the arena.
What is League of Legends?
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena game where teams battle to destroy the opposing team’s "nexus".
1st place: $15,000
2nd place: $5,000
3rd place: $2,500 each (two teams)
CSL Madden Spring Tournament
For those suffering from football withdrawal, the North American finals of the Collegiate Star League Madden Spring tournament will take place live in Columbia, after two months of frenetic online competition. The four finalists in both the PS4 and X BOX One categories of the EA sports classic will be flown to the event to square off live for the ultimate prize.View tournament schedule
